A cowlick is a growth pattern, not damage. The follicles in that patch emerge at a different angle to the ones around them, so the hair leaves the scalp already pointing somewhere else. No product removes it, and fighting it with force tends to produce a visible ridge instead of a fix.
What works is resetting the direction while the hair is wet and the shape is still negotiable, then locking that direction at the root before styling the rest of the head.
Read the technique first; the product choice matters far less than the sequence.
